So I finally joined the big leagues and bought a Nikon D90.
Of course, I still have my good old Sony A200 that I can toy around with.
The reason why I bought a D90?
Well...I originally bought a Canon EOS T1i (500D), took 14 shots using the kit 18-55 IS lens, returned it back to Best Buy. Why? For $800, I got barely any improvement over my A200. I'm paying literally for its 1080p video recording, more lenses to choose from, and live view. Other than that...it performs identically with the A200 for half the price. HECK, even the battery lasts longer on the A200.
Second reason...my dad has a Nikon F801 SLR with a 50mm F.18 and some short zoom lens that was pretty useless in my opinion (maybe I just haven't found the true potential to it). So taking advantage of the D90, I can use the old lenses.
Now I have to take serious shots with the Nikon D90. I cannot use it like it was just "some" digital camera. That's what the A200 is for now

...and because it costs $1290 (D90 body + 18-105 VR + 67mm Nikon filter)
